Project history

The dance music project "Experience Of Music" was founded in 1993 by Frank Winkelmann and Gregor G. Schydlo.

Experience Of Music first came to public attention in 1997 through the radio stations "evosonic radio" and a year later through "WDR Eins Live" and collaborated with "Lyane Leigh" ("E-Rotic") and "Franca Morgano" ("Magic Affair") in 2001/2002.

In 2004, Experience Of Music competed as a stage act at the nationwide “DJ Superstar of Germany” casting in Cologne.

A year later, they contributed two remixes for the dancefloor act "BPM" for their new single "No End no Limit". The maxi-CD was distributed worldwide under the Dancestreet/ZYX label.

In 2006, “Remember me 2006” was licensed to Warner Music Singapore for the compilation “The best Techno Hitz ever” – a production by Frank Winkelmann & Dietmar Barzen.

In the same year, two more remixes of BPM's "Catwalk to Heaven" will be released on Cosmic Star Records, as well as "Shiny Day" by Experience Of Music feat. Sue, the current voice of "Loft".

Experience Of Music's first album, "Enjoy the Shiny Days," will be released at the end of 2007.

After a somewhat quieter period in 2008 and 2009, Frank and Gregor discovered "Kitty"—a promising young vocalist—and produced "Summer of Freedom" with her. It was released in 2010 (digitally via finetunes and on the CD compilation "Eurodance Attack" via sunmusic). In 2011, they contributed a remix to "Beat of Zen 2k12" by "The Shrink Reloaded," which was released, among other places, on the CD sampler "HouseNation – Today's & Future Trax" (ZYX).

Another success came in 2012 with the single release of "Electrical Madness." The track was distributed digitally (Sounds United) and on several CD compilations (ZYX Music). Immediately following was the summer single "Beach Party" on Rarebird International. This time, it featured Michael K. ("general base") and Richard Williams † ("Loft"). Later that same year, "After Spring - Remix Edition" was released (DMN Records, including the "NaXwell" remix). "After Spring" entered the Dance-Charts.de charts at number 43 in November!

In early 2013, they featured Lightwarrior aka Shamrock (formerly of "T-Spoon") with his incredible rap attax. He brought a fantastic lead vocal to the track with Luna. This time, the guys took the melody from their European dance chart hit "After Spring" and used it to produce the new dance smash "We Won't Stop." Hula's ("Outhere Brothers") solo single "I Miss U," remixed by Experience Of Music, was released in the summer on DMN Records and ZYX. This collaboration led to the release of a joint single featuring the "Outhere Brothers," titled "Move It Mommy," in the summer of 2014, which was licensed exclusively to ZYX Music.

At the end of 2014, Experience Of Music collaborated with Elyse G. Rogers, the former frontwoman of the chart-topping act "MAXX". The single "Free your Soul (let it flow)" was released worldwide on their own label on October 31st.

In 2015, Experience Of Music remixed DJ Pierre Feroldi's ("Cappella" etc.) new single "Passion". The remixes were released on the SONY label "The Groove Society" in the fall.

The updated version "Move it Mommy (2k16)" reached top positions in various DJ charts. In 2017, Experience Of Music successfully remixed the 90s act "Tamo" ("Another Night 2k17") as well as DJ Molteni's cover version of Cappella's 1991 hit "Everybody." Cappella's founding member Pieradis Rossini also participated in the remix.

In 2019 they collaborated with the Chicago hitmakers “20 Fingers” and two years later with “LOFT”.

Experience Of Music productions are available on all major music portals - mostly on their own label "experience of music Tunes Germany".
